OVERVIEW
VacuFeed is a vacuum feeding assist feature available on selected Streamfeeder feeders/dispensers. VacuFeed provides improved performance with products that can be difficult to feed - such as products that are thin or that have a slippery texture - and gives you control over your high-speed operation. VacuFeed can also help prevent belt slippage, both extending the life of the belts and preventing marring of the product.
technical description
VacuFeed consists of a vacuum manifold chamber positioned just below the top surface of the feed belt. As the feed belt turns and passes over the chamber, pre-determined hole locations on the belt allow the chamber to draw air through the belt. This provides a vacuum condition across the surface of the belt at that specific location. Then as each product arrives at the feed belt the vacuum draws the product into the feed belt, providing positive contact to assist the product successfully travel through the product separator.
